Fulbright - Commission on Higher Education (CHED)
Scholarship Program for the
Mindanao Advanced Education Project (MAEP)

PAEF works to increase educational exchange opportunities for scholars and institutions from Mindanao through a grant from the Philippine Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Scholarships are given to qualified faculty from universities belonging to the following MAEP institutions for non-degree study and research in U.S. universities.

• Ateneo de Zamboanga University
• Camiguin Polytechnic State College
• Central Mindanao University
• Mindanao Polytechnic State College
• Mindanao State University - Marawi
• Mindanao State University - Iligan
• Mindanao State University - Naawan
• Notre Dame University
• Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine & Aquatic School of Technology
• University of Southern Mindanao
• University of Southern Philippines
• Xavier University
• Zamboanga State College of Marine Science and Technology

PAEF administers the program and provides additional financial support for the U.S. fellowships. Awards are given in the fields of Applied Linguistics, Biology, Chemistry, Education, Environmental Science, Languages, Mathematics/Mathematics Education, Peace Education/Conflict Resolution, Physics, and Teaching English as a Second Language.

Application period for 2008-2009 Fulbright Student Program for CHED-MAEP Institutions is from December 15, 2006 to March 30, 2007.

Printed copy of completed applications must be received at the PAEF office on or before March 30, 2007.

Grantees are expected to begin their doctoral dissertation research/doctoral enrichment program in the U.S. in September of 2008.
